Crescent Quaking Bog Necklace

One copper electroformed Midnight Quaking Bog on an 18" gunmetal chain. Gunmetal patina moon.

Have you ever seen a bog? I’m from Wisconsin and they are plentiful. A quaking bog is peat or woven rushes and shrubs that forms over water and shakes when walked upon. I grew up next to a cranberry bog and this stone reminds me of its green and lush vines with drops of the fruit dappled about.

This beautiful stone is natural green Corundum. Gems generally acquire their color due to certain metals or impurities contained in the mineral. Corundum is aluminum oxide, it’s the hardest mineral, apart from diamond, and forms hexagonal crystals.

Pendants measure approximately 1.25"-1.75". Size, shape, color may vary as no two stones are alike.
