The term ‘blood moon’ is a way to describe the crimson red hue the moon takes on during a total lunar eclipse. In ancient Ireland, there are stories about the Celtic goddess of the Moon, Rhiannon. The blood moon myth and Rhiannon represented a time of great opportunity, power, and fertility. Ocean Jasper only comes from one place in the world, northwestern Madagascar. It was given the name 'Ocean Jasper' because it resembles the waves and ripples of water and the mine was first discovered along the shoreline, originally accessible only at low tide.
