Lepidolite is a member of the mica group of minerals and is one of the most abundant lithium-bearing mineral. Lepidolite can only form in environments where high concentrations of lithium are available for mineral formation. Lepidolite is a rare mineral because these geochemical situations rarely occur.
Energetically, lepidolite is said to be connected to the third eye and crown chakras. It is said to bring a since of calm to stormy seas, thought to help those going through turmoil in their lives, calming the emotional body. My favorite thing I've read about it, it turns off the worries and the "what ifs" of the mind, replacing them with a zen like trust.
